They said it was to be nicer this weekend. Yet there is snow falling on my ground, and my horse is struggling in his battle against this bacterial infection. Cold, damp weather does not help one with lung issues, and I'm sorely tempted to walk away from Washington at this moment. I have grown to hate our winters here. Harney County and 300 days of sun are looking mighty fine about now, even if it is 20 degrees colder there this morning.

Poor Steve Holt!, sorry to hear that he is sick still. Our weather here today is rain, rain and more rain but it's warmer, 55 degrees. I hope you get some sunshine soon. :-)
Jane and Gilly
Hope Steve Holt gets better soon. I am so with you on this weather thing. I finances would allow it, I would be gone TOMORROW to blue skies and sunshine!
I'm sorry he's not feeling better. Poor guy. Is he still taking his meds okay?
We had 4-6 inches of snow when I woke up yesterday and it's snowed steadily ever since. Sick. Of. It.
We're supposed to get some good weather starting tomorrow. Hopefully that means you'll get some too?
Let's all sing it together,
"The sun'll come out, tomorrow..."
Sun poked out last night, but this morning more snow. Right now there's a blue spot and it gives me hope. Hopes have been dashed before, though!
No, he's not eating his grain anymore. Not one bit at all yesterday. Molasses, alfalfa, and his favorite treats are not enticing him into it any longer.
On the plus side, there was no snot and not a single cough while I was out filling water tubs.
I'm glad there is some sign of improvement(in SH! and the weather!) Hang in there. Is Harney County in Oregon? 300 days of sunshine? Hmmm...you've got my wheels turning, LOL!
Aww poor Steve Holt!, best of wishes being sent his way!!!
Oh I hope he feels better soon!!! Nothing scarier than a sick horse!!! Hugs to Steve Holt!
I am wondering where it is really warm, no rain, no SNOW, Harney county is nice - wish we were younger because we would have been there 3/4 years ago.
Give Steve Holt and hug.
I'm with you Tracey. I was born and raised in Central Oregon and a day doesn't go by that I don't wish I could go back there to live. It's beautiful here west of the mountains but I'm a high desert girl through and through.
Where the heck is Harney County? I'm about ready to join you. I. AM. SO. SICK. OF. THIS. WEATHER!!!!!
I hope Steve gets to feeling much better soon.
So sorry to hear that he is still sick and sending warm weather wishes your way! Winter just won't give up its hold on us either. Our temps should be in the low 50s right now with no hint of freezing but it's supposed to dip down below 32 tonight and tomorrow.
