Tika loves her playtime!
Since it rained yesterday, I didn't ride, but I did hop on the day before. The round pen size has been expanded to a bit over 40' in length. Tight for some, but not for Tika. In this video she's only using half the space as she circles around me. Once saddled up, she's all business, though.
With a month long vacation, she struggled with me asking for a turn to the right. It's always been her weak side. As I pulled her nose, she'd do a little panic, but thankfully in her mind a panic means stop. Though the sand doesn't slow her down when she plays, once I'm on her back she likes to keep things slow (yeah!), and it takes some encouragement to bump her into a trot. But we did manage to finally do both trotting and right turns at the same time, getting a few figure 8s done before I stepped off her back.
Sun is shining again this afternoon. Think I ought to go hop on? I think you're right...

What a beautiful mover she is. She just floats along. I love how she kept presenting her face to the camera. Such a lovely face too.

i often miss getting to see your videos due to the musical content that is illegal to transmit overseas. (the RIAA record labels Sony, Warner, and Universal mostly catch content and filter it.)
just wanted to let you know in case no one else did. what really gets me is when a video originates in germany, then an american adds music to it which makes it now unavailable for viewing in germany!

Lytha, it didn't come through? Well, bummer. My camera's sound isn't working, and just watching a silent video is soooo boring, even when it's Tika, I'm afraid :)
I didn't end up riding. Was home alone, and won't climb on a greenie without someone being here to help if I end up hurt. Today, though!
Shirley, she's so funny these days! I take her out to play and she keeps coming back and putting her face in mine...or the camera. She's really come a long way...but it's taken her a long time to do get where she is.
Really hope she can get over her fears, because she's going to be so incredible if she does!
My look at her go! Every time we get to see her like that, I'm struck [again] by how truly beautiful she is.
Then again, being a redhead myself, I'm probably biased!

it's not that the sound/video didn't work, it's that UMG (universal music group) caught it and pulled it offline for viewers outside of america.

Lytha, it was Fuego, by Bond Girls. Funny how some will play in the US, but not make it across the water. There are a lot that don't make it past the filters here, but that one does (have used it before.)
