It's a good thing I had other plans...

...because other plans helped me stay occupied these past couple of weeks. As I'm sure you realized after yesterday's post, I've not a good waiter. I like to know things and know them yesterday. Waiting just gives me more time to worry!

And yesterday...well...I kinda had a feeling I knew the answer. Because they called and told me they thought I seemed a bit hesitant...

But now I won't have to worry about a trip to Burns in April (unless someone wants to fund my trip) because I'll be too busy with my new mustang here!

Dear Western States Mustang Challenge Trainer:
CONGRATULATIONS - you were accepted as one of the competing trainers

So, how's them apples, eh?

Now, do stay tuned as I'll be doing some major fund raising to help with the gas money. This is going to require two trips to California, although I'm hoping I may be able to share the ride with another trainer (I haven't asked...I wonder if she's reading this???) That would cut expenses considerably for both of us!

In the meantime, a new blog is being born: Desperate Horsewife. From here you'll be able to help contribute, if you'd like, to the care and feeding our make over horse. Yes, our horse. Y'all are just such a huge part of this, and you've been a wonderful inspiration and great encouragement. It's only right that I share this horse's bills...er...journey with you!

And in case you're wondering, the horse has a name. I don't even know if it's going to be a mare (I hope so!) or gelding, but I've got a name. Speck of Sand, or Sandy for short. More on that later. I'm off to celebrate by eating something chocolate!

YAY!!! I knew you would be accepted! Congratulations! You thought waiting to hear whether you'd been chosen was hard, now you've got to wait to pick up your horse, believe me, that's twice as hard!!!

LOL, Jessie! Thank you! I somehow think the waiting to find out will be the harder part for me. All I'm thinking now is that I've only got 4 weeks to put together a gas fund (yikes!)

Oh, and Sandy would be great as a gelding too. ;)

Congratulations! A month before you go get this horse and bring it home and then you have how long to train it?

This is fabulous news for all of us. We get to follow along and possibly donate and feel like we are in this together. So wonderful, Tracey! Congratulations.

Oh Tracey, God is so good. Don't fret He did not open the door to let you down over a little detail like gas money. Or any of the other things you will need. How exciting. Actually I am jealous, Well a little anyway. At your age I was sitting behind a desk not loving it. I will keep praying. Lea

Thank you, everyone!

Yes, Jamie, you figured it out :) If you're up for it, I'd love to split the gas costs.

Julia, I'll have to see what's up with the other site; I thought I'd changed it to allow folks in. I'd had it blocked while working on it (just in case I didn't get in, y'know!)

Joan, I recall the oldest son in the Flipper tv series being named Sandy. You wouldn't remember that because you're WAY too young, lol!

MiKael, roughly 90 days; the show is June 6-8.

Chocolate! Katee, I forgot to eat chocolate! I'd better go have some ice cream wtih chocolate topping :)

Molly, Britni and Photogchic, thank you, thank you, thank you!!!

Lea, this truly is a dream. An expensive dream, lol, but a dream none the less. And yes, God will continue to provide. You're absolutely right that He wouldn't have put me here just to abandon me.

Now...off for ice cream! With chocolate topping, of course.
