I want to offer a HUGE Thank You to Pioneer Ford of Lynden, Washington!
I drive a Ranger. It's a nice truck, but it can't pull a horse trailer. Which really hasn't mattered much, because I haven't got a horse trailer to pull. This, of course, makes it difficult when Darling and I want to head out with Quiet Storm to do talks and demonstrations on wild horse adoption.
Yesterday I swung by Pioneer Ford and asked if there was any chance they'd sponsor us. I explained how we were trying to get out once a month to visit schools and attend events, including the upcoming three day event in Monroe, and that we were sadly lacking in transportation.
And he said YES! They'll loan us a pick up!
Now all I need to do is concentrate on a trailer...

You Rock Girl! So does Pioneer Ford! That is so cool!
Congrats on your loaner vehicle. Good luck with finding the trailer, there's a lot out there.
Thank you, Rachelle! I was pretty excited when they said yes. I wasn't really even sure how to present the question to them, but they didn't bat an eye. I said, "Even for three days in Monroe?" He said as long as I wasn't hauling over any passes...which I guess means not to Burns for a Kiger, lol!
Tracey, I love the new header picture! It is beautiful!! Congrats on the new Ford!!!
That is so great! Ford is a great company for helping out the mustang horse. You know about their helping save a truckload from slaughter, and setting up some sort of fund or foundation or something? I don't remember the details. But I'm glad they're doing it! And really glad they're helping out with your trips!
Proves the point...Never hurts to ask. Very cool of them. I think we should all send them a nice email and thank them.
Photogchic, I'll bet they'd be thrilled to get correspondence from other people out of the area like that!
I've designed a Quiet Storm t-shirt for Darling and I to wear, and on the back it says "Sponsored in part by Pioneer Ford". We'll be wearing it to all our horsey events...kinda like our uniform :)
Janey Loree, thank you! I really liked that shot as well. It's of Riddler, a Kiger from the Riddle Mt. HMA. That guy is built like a tank!
Andrea, I really wish you could be here!
Yay Pioneer Ford! It makes me happy to hear about good deeds like that.
Way to go girl! I'll be you're getting pumped as your event gets closer and closer!
Awwwwwwwww, you could talk anyone into about anything, Lady!!!!! :-)
