I'm taking the day off. Sort of. I've been down at Curt's helping with chores, cleaning stalls, riding horses, and of course working with Tika, nearly non-stop for the past few weeks. But not today. Today, just as soon as horses were watered & fed, and immediately after I finished my mug of hot chocolate topped with whipped cream, I headed for home. City Boy asked what we were going to do today. I didn't have a plan...but now I think I do. It's eagle season in the Pacific Northwest, and I'm going to see if I can talk him into a drive up river. Ought to be great fun in the rain!

In the last few years, eagles have moved to the Cleveland area and there is a nesting pair very close to where we ride. It is quite a special thing to see a bald eagle.
I'd much rather be with you two! I'm doing the financial report the the cutting club...and Horsefly. Look forward to some good photos from you!
I watched it snow... a lot. and it's still snowing... a lot.
And I worked from home so not all that bad
Still working and inputting students' grades. UGH!
we were thrilled to see a couple of bald eagles flying overhead at discovery park in seattle, and then one flying over haiku farm on our visit to arlington.

When I first moved to Alaska I was thrilled to see all the bald eagles. We even took a trip to Homer to see the eagle feeding frenzy on the Spit. After being here for a while I started seeing eagles in a different light. Best place to watch the eagles? In the winter, in the dumpster behind the fire station and the grocery store.
Today I must finish my plow route after the 4" snowfall yesterday then continue preparing for lambs that are due the first week of February.
any day with an eagle is a good luck day!

Love the pictures! I recently got some of a bald eagle too. Pretty exciting to see them. They're so fun to watch.
I nominated you for the "Stylish Blogger Award". I've always enjoyed keeping up with your blog and mustang adventures. :)
