Seriously. Good. Stuff!

Twas the Supreme Extreme Mustang Makeover this past weekend, and while there are many, many excellent videos out there to highlight these talented horses, what you really, really need to see are the kids.  Yes, that's right, an arena full of youngsters and yearlings.  What could be better?  Nothing.  Nope.  Nothing.

Incredible and inspiring. The handlers were all so gentle, patient and kind. I did worry about the girl in the ballet slippers when the horse took a step toward her feet, though.

So inspiring. :)

For me, it's not so much what each pair can do, but how much time they must have spent together, and what an amazing foundation these horses and kids will have for their futures.

Ground work is just. so. awesome. It always surprises me when people say they don't hold stock in it. Not to be snippy, but they just don't know what they are talking about!

Yes, the ballet slippers were a bit scary (but I'm a mom now :) Back in my teenage days, it was my favorite thing to ride bareback and barefoot...

sigh...

Me too Margaret! Actually I still did right up to my last horse who didn't feel safe enough to ride bareback, nevertheless barefoot. She didn't like the feeling of me riding bareback. Felt like riding a volcano and since, when offended, she could buck so hard she could send you into orbit even with a saddle, I never tried again! :P Not a mustang by the way! :)
